GLP-1 Receptor Agonist
Liraglutide
A once-daily GLP-1 receptor agonist and the first incretin-mimetic to reach approval for chronic weight management, now used as the historical baseline against which longer-acting analogs are measured.
Not currently stocked at Core Power Peptides. Semaglutide is the closest single-pathway GLP-1 compound in stock.
Mechanism
Activates the GLP-1 receptor with a fatty-acid side chain that promotes albumin binding, extending its half-life relative to native GLP-1 while still requiring daily dosing to maintain steady exposure. Research on liraglutide established much of the early dose-response and gastric-emptying data later applied to weekly agonists.
